I’m @tedunwrites on Twitter, terahedun on Instagram, Terah Edun Author on Facebook, and terahedun on Tumblr.
I get this question all the time and I’m happy to personally speak to each and every parent or teacher or librarian to assure them that my books are geared towards a young adult audience and appropriate (I hope) for most young adult/teen readers. It’s aimed to be a compelling read for all ages with no graphic sexual content or gratuitous cursing. If you need comparisons, then Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, and Divergent by Veronica Roth will give you an idea of the content style.
I write Young Adult fiction. Always. Why? Because I believe the teenage and young adult experience is powerful. My characters range in age from 15-18 (so far) but they are always going to be set in a uniquely coming of age realm of experience. Everything else, whether it’s high fantasy or urban fantasy, is my lens for examining that experience.
A couple books in the Crown Service series, 1 or 2 books in the Courtlight series, three books in the Birthright series, and some new series I’m ruminating on.
But in order, I’m writing: Sworn To Victory: Courtlight #13, Sworn To Allegiance: Courtlight #14, Blades Of Fortitude: Crown Service #5 and Mages By Dissent: Birthright #5.
